I have purchased a site from an other service provider then yahoo. Now I want to access my mail for that domain from yahoo mail plus (POP).
Now my domain service provider and web host are asking for yahoo MX record to recieve that mail..
How I can get that record and what is the MX record.....

How do I transfer a domain name to a new owner?
Can anyone point me in the direction of a good guide online of how to do this? I have found sites that help you make a sale like afternic, but I am wondering how I can do this on my own? Also, I have one domain with a company I do not like and I want to transfer it to another company with better web hosting services. How do I do that?

Changing the physical location of the website is as easy as changing the Domain Name Servers (DNS) for your domain name account. How exactly to do that will vary with each company, and how they designed their website's user interface. But now that you know what to look for, you should be pointing in the right direction.
As far as changing the domain name REGISTRAR company, the timing is a bit more crucial. Normally you'll wait until a few weeks before the domain is about to expire, and sign up with a new registrar to initiate the transfer.
Maybe a specific example will help...

I have two domains with One %26amp; One web hosting services, i use these reguarly for an eshop(at work), and have not had time to go back and do some work on my personal site i am developing, when i went today, and signed in, it doesnt let me edit the website at all, is it inactive as i have not logged in for about 1-2 months?

Domain names cost from about 10 to 30 US Dollars to register.
There are many domain hosting companies, about the only difference is there monthly cost. You must know how to produce your website using HTML, or other scripting such as JAVA and how to upload "FTP" your website onto the server. I Have been using USWDH for some time and that are about 50 US Dollars a year for their hosting service and I have received goos customer service from them.

Dreamhost is a good company. They say they started in 1997, and I was with them for at least 4-5 years before I finally ended up getting my own server in 2003 because I needed to do things that I couldn't do without "root" privileges.
Their prices are excellent, and they are a company with integrity, which makes them a better hosting company than at least 90% of the companies out there.
Well, getting my own server was just the start. I'm in the hosting business now, and I have a couple of thousand customers. Because I aspire to be better than 90% of the companies out there, I also have integrity.
That means I don't overcharge someone else in order to undercharge you. And they don't, either.
Their smallest plan gives you 145.6 GB, and 1 more GB every week, which means you've got about 200 GB of space. It starts with 1.456 TB and gives you 16 GB more bandwidth every week, which means you have about 2.2 TB of bandwidth at this point.
Moving to another server is a pain - but your *real* problem is that you're not likely to find another hosting company that will give you a deal like that. I sure as heck won't give you 200 GB of space and 2.2 TB of bandwidth for $119.00.
You don't have to come up with $119.40 at once. You can pay for your plan at $9.95 per month.
If you can't figure out how to come up with $9.95/month, you're a pretty sad case. Stop your panhandling, and get a job.

I want to host my websit myself. I have a dynamic ip address and a nat aware dsl modem. after doing some research I am thinking that if I creat another connection using new connection in the dsl modem the I can select the proper service and pick the proper service. I would like to hear from someone who has had the same experience and succeeded or perhaps not succeeded and I can learn what not to do.

It is possible. I used to monitor the CCTV system at my home using dynamic dns.
- You can use Dynamic DNS www.dyndns.com for domain name resolution. Most broadband routers/modem support dyndns protocol, it should be in the menus somewhere (make sure you are running a recent firmware). Or you can download one of the free dyndns clients for your PC. You can either use a free yourwwwaddress.dyndns.com or you can purchase their service for your own yourwwwaddress.com for a small fee.
- You also need to forward TCP/UDP port 80 (HTTP) to your web server's ip address. Your broadband router does it. For doing this, you need to assign a static IP address (disable DHCP client, do not get IP address automaticaly from your router, assign something like 192.168.1.100 or 10.1.1.100 depending on whatever address rang your router uses) on your Web server PC.

I belong to a e-mail picture trading group %26amp; I wanted to find a better way to send pictures rather than attaching them in e-mail. I used to post pictures to several forums %26amp; used a "image hosting" service %26amp; used the links they gave me for posting at a forum. This worked great! "Clickable thumbnails" showed up at the forum. I thought I would try it in e-mail only use the links for "web page HTML" This is fine except that all that shows up in the e-mails "I" send are the links, not the "thumbnail pics" When other members of my group do the same thing, they get the "thumbnails". They use the same hosting service %26amp; a few even the same e-mail that I do. Why do I only get/send the links, when others get the "clickable thumbnails" in the e-mails they send?
